Questions people ask
Is JobAlfred the same as JobPilot?
Yes. JobAlfred is the new name, and Pilot is now Alfred. Your profile, answers and settings carry over. The Chrome Web Store can show the old name for a short while after an update.
What does it cost?
Autofill and job search are free, and need no AI key and no account. For AI answers and cover letters, you add your own key from OpenAI, Anthropic or Google and pay your provider directly.
Does it submit applications for me?
No. It fills the form and stops. You check every answer and press Submit yourself.
A form didn't fill properly. What should I do?
Some sites build their forms in their own way. Refresh the page and try again. If it still doesn't work, send us the address of the page.
Why does Find Jobs show so few roles?
Filters can remove a lot. When a filter removes most of the roles, Find Jobs names it and offers to loosen it in one click. A salary filter keeps roles that list no salary and labels them.
Where is my data?
Your profile, CV and applications stay in your Chrome. AI requests go straight from your browser to the provider you choose, with your own key. The privacy policy has the details.
Why does Google warn me when I connect Gmail?
Connecting Gmail is optional. Google shows that warning until an app that reads email has finished its verification, and ours hasn't yet. JobAlfred only reads job emails in your browser, and you can disconnect at any time from the Tracker tab.
How do I remove it?
Right-click the JobAlfred icon in Chrome and choose Remove from Chrome. That deletes what the extension stored in your browser.
